This is more or less a week off. There is only one new film in national distro, and it is apparently awful. It stars only B-listers, it has been almost universally panned (5% positive reviews), and it will appear on only 1900 screens. It may sneak onto the bottom of the top ten list, but is not likely to take in much more than $3 million.
The Identical (rated PG):
"Identical twin brothers (both played by Blake Rayne) are separated at birth during the Great Depression. Their parents (Brian Geraghty, Amanda Crew) just cannot afford to give them both a life beyond poverty, so one is adopted by loving family. Despite their very different upbringings, the boys' shared passion for music causes their lives to unknowingly intersect as they experience a powerful and mysterious connection often felt by twins."
"It is so misguided that it bombs in jaw-dropping ways." (KC Star)
"A movie so bad that you'll want to watch it with all your friends. There's a very real possibility we'll have midnight screenings of this picture for years to come." (The Guardian)
