Brian Hoyer was ineffective, so Manziel finally got a chance at some real playing time, engineered an 80-yard drive, and picked up a rushing TD to go with a respectable 5-for-8 in the air. There was only so much he could do, however, and the Browns fell to the Bills.
The Cardinals and Patriots lost, which means there is no record better than 9-3! Both of those teams held on to their #1 seeds in spite of the losses. If the season ended today, the 7-5 Chiefs would get a wild card slot, breaking out of a six-way tie. (Actually, there are only five teams with that record in the AFC. I'm assuming the Dolphins will make it six with a win tomorrow.
Far sillier than that, a 5-7 team would win a division in the NFC, meaning that those Falcons would get home field advantage in the first round of the playoffs over the 8-4 Seahawks.
Still, there's lots more ball to play ...
