There is only one new film in wide release this week, but it's a barn burner: Mockingjay (Part 1), the latest in the Hunger Games saga. It will be in 4150 theaters and is expected to gross more than $150 million dollars over the weekend. (PG-13, 68% positive reviews)
The previous episode in this series holds the November box office record with an opening weekend of $158M.
The first Hunger Games film also grossed in the $150s in its opening weekend, but it was a March release. That one spent four weeks at #1 and ten weeks in the top ten.
If you do not have a vagina, you can watch a lot more football this weekend.
