Three new releases in wide distribution:

The Gambler (2478 theaters): R-rated reimagining of the James Caan classic, with Marky Mark in the Caan role. 53% positive reviews

Into the Woods (2200 theaters): PG Disney adaptation of a Sondheim musical. 73% positive reviews.

Unbroken (3232 theaters): "Academy Award (R) winner Angelina Jolie directs and produces Unbroken, an epic drama that follows the incredible life of Olympian and war hero Louis "Louie" Zamperini (Jack O'Connell) who, along with two other crewmen, survived in a raft for 47 days after a near-fatal plane crash in WWII-only to be caught by the Japanese Navy and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp." Rated PG-13; 51% positive reviews.

Box office: The Hobbit and Night at the Museum are expected to take #1 and #2. The Weekend Warrior sees the new releases finishing as follows:

Into the Woods - $20 million, 3rd place
Unbroken - $16 million, 5th place.
The Gambler - $10 million, 6th place.
