The Weekend Warrior's best and worst 25 films of 2014

Point: The Weekend Warrior's Best 25 Films of 2014

Counterpoint: The Weekend Warrior's Worst 25 Films of 2014

Controversy: He has Paul Thomas Anderson's Inherent Vice and Michel Gondry's Mood Indigo on the worst list. He's bucking the trend. Mood Indigo garnered 63% positive reviews, Inherent Vice 71%, but I'm suspicious of those numbers, based upon the trailers and the lame justifications critics gave for turning their thumbs up. I haven't seen either movie, but Warrior may well be right. Critics tend to give positive nods to respected directors even when they stumble. How would you like to be remembered as the one guy who hated The Godfather, Part II (Vincent Canby of the New York Times) or The Shawshank Redemption (Ed Gonzalez of Slant magazine)?
