Ashley Madison says 1 in 5 Ottawans subscribed to adulterer website

"According to previously published figures from the Toronto-based company, some 189,810 Ashley Madison users were registered in Ottawa, a city with a population of about 883,000, making the capital No. 1 for philanderers in Canada and potentially the highest globally per capita."

That's even worse than it seems at first because the 883,000 figure includes children, single people, single-parent families, the very old, etc. According to the most recent Canadian census, there were 169,680 families with married couples in Ottawa - 339,360 married people. Therefore, more than half of all married Ottawans are trying to cheat on their partners online. If you know a couple in Ottawa, it's better than even money that at least one of them is trying to be unfaithful.

And that's just the ones trying to do it online on that one particular website! Making reasonable assumptions, you might conclude that just about every married person in Ottawa is trying to cheat. Ottawa is obviously the infidelity capital of the world!

I'm guessing that "cheating on your spouse" is pretty much the only recreation in town not involving ice skates. (Or I guess even the cheating could involve ice skates.)
