Only about 1500 women really used Ashley Madison (compared to 20 million men)

Almost None of the Women in the Ashley Madison Database Ever Used the Site

"Overall, the picture is grim indeed. Out of 5.5 million female accounts, roughly zero percent had ever shown any kind of activity at all, after the day they were created."

"The more I examined those 5.5 million female profiles, the more obvious it became that none of them had ever talked to men on the site, or even used the site at all after creating a profile. Actually, scratch that. As I’ll explain below, there’s a good chance that about 12,000 of the profiles out of millions belonged to actual, real women who were active users of Ashley Madison. When you look at the evidence, it’s hard to deny that the overwhelming majority of men using Ashley Madison weren’t having affairs. They were paying for a fantasy."

Even more significant is the fact that 12,000 is the highest possible number. The reporter's further investigation showed that only about 1,500 women who created accounts ever checked their messages, as compared to more than 20 million men. That's more than 13,000 men per woman.

The good news is that those women must have gotten some serious action!

  1. Then does this means technically the men on the site are not cheaters, right???

  2. Yes, and I'm sure their wives will be completely accepting of that argument.

  3. I guess I am asking legally whether failure to cheat could be considered infidelity.

  4. Oh, I doubt that it can be used legally without any evidence of actual adultery.
