As expected, Michigan State fell despite winning. That made TCU and Baylor numbers 2 and 3.
Florida jumped 14 spots from 25 to 11 after thumping Ole Miss.
Except for Alabama at #8, the top thirteen teams are all undefeated.
Sagarin's computer ratings provide a different take on that. He has 7 one-loss teams in his top 14, including #1 and #2, Alabama and (shockingly) USC.
The biggest discrepancies between the AP human poll and the computer?
The computer says "Overrated": Sagarin places #4 Michigan State at #34 (!!!). Based on his calculations, the Spartans would be 10-point underdogs at Michigan and Ohio State.
The computer says "Underrated": Sagarin places USC and Stanford at #2 and #4. The AP poll has them #17 and 16, respectively.
