Yeah, I have to agree with Big Ben. I can't think of anything worse between 1865 and now.
Fortunately, when it comes to remembering things almost as bad as slavery in the past 150 years, my readers have better memories than I. One suggested The Star Wars Holiday Special.
Another reader commented that I missed a key point. The reason for the response is that Iowa Republicans don't think slavery was a bad thing.
