The playoff committee now ranks the big four:
1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. Oklahoma
4. Iowa
Sagarin's computers replace Iowa with another Big Ten team, Ohio State, but it would take a miracle for Ohio State to make the playoff since Iowa will play Michigan State for the Big 10 championship, and those two teams are ranked #4 and #5, so the winner of that game seems to have a lock on a playoff spot. I can't foresee any likely circumstances in which the committee would take a second team from the Big Ten rather than the conference champ of another conference, unless two of the following lose their conference championship games: Alabama, Clemson and Stanford. Don't hold your breath on an Alabama loss. They are 17-point favorites. The other two are possibilities, but Ohio State would need for BOTH of them to happen, and even then, they would need the committee to pick them over a North Carolina team which just defeated the nation's #1 team. Being realistic, I just don't think Ohio State will get a chance to defend their championship.
