This is a bit of a tangent, but seeing a column devoted to "Boomers-vs-Millennials" just hammered home a thought I've pondering for a while now.

As a Generation X-er/Child of the '80s, I'm fascinated by how everything went directly from being all about the Boomers to being all about the Millennials. As a kid, I'd see all the attention focused on the Boomers and think, "That's what they'll say about us when we're that age," but no. No sooner had I become a productive adult, the attention had already shifted to the group behind us. I don't know what we've done to be so ignored by pop culture, but I'm going to interpret the lack of attention we've drawn to ourselves as a good thing.
