When Steve Irwin died at 44, Norm MacDonald took a lot of flak for pointing out that 44 is a ripe old age for guys who swim with crocodiles. I'd have to say that 48 is a ripe old age for serious drug users. I know Courtney Love is 51, but she's like the Methuselah of junkies.
