Clemson was an underdog, despite being ranked #1 in the nation, but they used a big second half to overcome a slight halftime deficit and prevail against Oklahoma. They will again be underdogs against The Crimson Tide, who overwhelmed a badly overmatched team from Michigan State. The opening line is 'Bama by seven.
I was kinda happy to see another underdog, Houston, defeat Florida State, proving in the process that teams outside the Power Five can sometimes be for real.
The line for New Year's Day:
Ohio State by 5 over Notre Dame
Stanford by 6 1/2 over Iowa.
Oklahoma State by 7 over Mississippi.
