New York Primary Election Results 2016

New York Primary Election Results 2016

No real surprises. Trump by a country mile (sweep of every county, but Kasich may sneak in a couple of delegates in congressional districts where Trump may fall a hair below 50% ). Cruz was a dismal third, as that whole "NY values" argument haunted him throughout the campaign, so he will get totally shut out in delegate count.

Hillary won 58%-42% in the voting, with delegates to be split proportionally. Bernie won Buffalo, Albany and the rural areas. Hillary took the NYC area, plus Rochester and Syracuse. Bernie actually won more counties, but nobody actually lives in a lot of those counties. The exit polls show that Hillary and Bernie split the white vote just about 50/50, but Hillary easily won the minorities.
