2016 NFL Standings - The Dolphins have made the playoffs thanks to the Broncos' loss
The AFC is set in that the six teams have now been identified. The Broncos are out. The only matter left undecided is between Oakland and Kansas City, and it's a big deal. One of them will get a first-round bye, while the other will be a wild card. They do not play each other, so the Chiefs do not control their own destiny. They need to win and they need the Raiders to lose, in which case both teams would be 12-4, and the Chiefs would win the division and the bye, by virtue of having won both head-to-head games.
