Vanishing New York
It's very interesting to me, a New Yorker who has rarely returned in the past 40 years, to see the vanished and the vanishing.
"A NEW YORKER IS SOMEONE WHO LONGS FOR NEW YORK"
Yup.
If you love New York, to paraphrase Hemingway, it is a moveable feast. I've lived in some great cities from Austin to Miami to Sydney to London to Oslo to Vienna. I've worked in every corner of the globe. Yet after all these years, though I probably could not find a single friend or colleague there, I still read the New York Times and wish I was there.
