The Cubs will be watching the World Series on TV
The Dodgers will be the World Series for the first time since 1988. The game wasn't close, The Dodgers had 16 hits, including three homers and seven RBI from one guy, Kike Hernandez.
He's a utility player. During the course of the year he played every position but pitcher and catcher, including DH in one inter-league game. He batted a meager .215 for the year, and in the previous seven post-season games, he only had eight at bats. Right-handed pitchers normally gave him fits. He batted .159 against them, with only one homer. His lifetime OPS splits against RH/LH pitchers are dramatic: .589/.883.
But one of his three homers tonight was off a right-handed pitcher, and it was a grand slam!
