Neal Boortz talks about this a lot. This erosion between well-laid out powers of immenant domain and handing the power of local government to those who make politcal contributions- it's not a good thing.
Considering that wealthy people use more and better land per capita than poor people, city counselors should be targeting the Gates, Buffetts and Albrechts in their communities! I'm thinking that's not going to happen...
