I don't know much about Scottie, but you either have to love something a lot, or get paid a lot, to do it in Finland in January. I've been there, done that, but I had no choice. I had a nice cushy sinecure at Shell Norway when they shipped me out to poke around Finland for a while. If you aren't into Vodka, skiing, or sauna, there's not a lot to do outside of Helsinki. Or, for that matter, even inside Helsinki.I don't imagine Pippin's salary is significant, so the man must love to play some hoops.
