I know it's not a cartoon, but I distinctly remember rooting for Big Mike Fink to defeat Davy Crockett in the riverboat race. The other kids all wanted to be Davy, and I think I must have been the only kid in my generation who wanted to be Big Mike Fink. If you think about it, I made the sensible choice. After all, none of those other kids are Davy Crockett now, but in a way, I kinda am Big Mike Fink.
