The Last Exorcism, a horror film presented as a pseudo-documentary, scores 88% so far, and some of the reviews were quite enthusiastic. That score only reflects 8 reviews, but both Hollywood Reporter and Variety liked it. So there's that.Takers is a caper flick with a cast filled from two lists: (1) the guys you didn't know were still acting; (2) the guys you didn't know were actors at all. It was not pre-released to general critics, but was reviewed by Variety and Hollywood Reporter, both of which awarded tepid praise. HR said, "It's a serviceable B-movie that will do decent business during the dog days of August," and Variety called it, "A respectable but watered-down heist movie."
