The Lincoln Lawyer is a juicy R-rated legal noir starring the shirtless one himself, albeit in a suit. Critics have been very favorably disposed to this film. "Stylish, suspenseful, and thoroughly entertaining." 81% positive reviews.

"Mickey Haller (Matthew McConaughey) is a Los Angeles criminal defense attorney who operates out of the back of his Lincoln sedan. Haller has spent most of his career defending garden-variety criminals, until he lands the case of his career: defending Louis Roulet (Ryan Phillippe), a Beverly Hills playboy accused of rape and attempted murder. But the seemingly straightforward case suddenly develops into a deadly game of survival for Haller."

Paul is the latest Simon Pegg / Nick Frost comedy, this time with Seth Rogan also contributing some hijinks. Rated R. 66% positive reviews.

Also out this week in limited release is Paul Giamatti's latest, an oddball R-rated dramedy called Win Win, which has 91% extremely enthusiastic positive reviews.
