It won't be a very exciting weekend. There are three mediocre new releases:

The Footloose remake is expected to take first place with about $18 million in 3500 theaters

The Thing should finish second or third with about $15 million in 3000 theaters.

The Big Year is expected to take fourth with about $8 million in 2100 theaters.
