The Brewers were supposed to have some good pitching, but those pitchers made the Cardinals look like the 1927 Yankees.
Actually, here's something you may not realize: the Cardinals may have the best offense in baseball. If you take away the effect of home parks by looking at the road stats, you'll find that the Cards had the highest road OPS in baseball! Not just in the NL. They beat the Yankees, Rangers, and Red Sox as well.
