This week's football rankings

This week's football rankings

NFL Power Rankings, Week 2. After a home loss, the Packers have dropped from first to fifth. The Cowboys may have beaten the Super Bowl champs, but that got them no higher than tenth. The Redskins moved up nine spots based on RG3's spectacular debut which placed him atop the NFL's official quarterback rankings. (Hey, I'm also impressed with the guy, but not ready to canonize him after one game.)

College rankings. Dropped from the AP top 25: Arkansas, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Oklahoma State.

Fun stat: Brandon Weeden of the Browns now has an official QB rating of 5. That's not a misprint. He was 12 for 35 for a measly 118 yards, with four interceptions and two fumbles. On ESPN's proprietary system, Weeden has a rating of 1. To put that in perspective, Tebow has a rating of 4 despite not having thrown a pass. What's really weird is that the Browns almost won that game, despite their QB having one of the worst games in NFL history. That kinda shows you that the opposing Eagles weren't exactly soaring. (The Eagles dropped five spots on the power rankings - after a win!)
