CNN: slight edge to the President in Round Two

CNN: slight edge to the President in Round Two
The President seemed to win overall, perhaps because 73% of the viewers said he did better than expected.

"Mitt Romney was seen as better able to handle the economy, taxes, and the budget deficit among the debate audience, but it seems that issues were trumped, or at least blunted, by intangibles, including the expectations game," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

People found Romney stronger on some key issues: better able to handle the economy, stronger leader, answering more directly. Obama was found to be more likeable and viewers felt he cares more about people - and, of course, dogs.

OK, I made up the dog part. The rest is real.

  1. CNN: on Economy, Romney wins 58-40%.... On health care, Romney wins, 49-46%.... On taxes, Romney wins 51-44%.... On deficit, Romney wins 59-36%....

Did Obama offer a clear plan for solving the nation's problems? .... 38% say, yes.... 61% say, NO....

    But Obama WON? .... LOL!!

People are saying Obama won because they're being very, very generous!

"Issues were trumped, or at least blunted, by intangibles."
