NCAA College Football Scores, Week 2

NCAA College Football Scores,Week 2
For the most part, the top 25 rolled over their early-season patsies again. Baylor scored 56 in the first half, for example, and Texas A&M scored 65 in the first three quarters, etc.

There were a few things to note:

Georgia rebounded from a loss to Clemson by beating #6 South Carolina. Hey, tip your hat to the Georgia Bulldogs. At least one team in the nation started off with two tough games!

#17 Michigan beat #14 Notre Dame

Miami beat their home-state rival Florida. The Gators were ranked as high as 9th in the polls, while Miami was ranked 24-25-26 in the three rankings used by ESPN. The Hurricanes will climb up that ladder a bit. That's the second win this year for ACC teams in important match-ups with the SEC. Cool. I love SEC football, but I also love to see the cocky bastards get their asses kicked once in a while.

The Texas Longhorns showed that they did not deserve their #15 ranking as they got trounced 40-21 by unheralded Brigham Young. (BYU lost to Virginia last week, and Virginia doesn't appear to be all that good, given their 59-10 loss this week.)

Not that it really matters what the AP #25 team does, but USC lost to unranked Washington St 10-7.
