'Divergent' earns a solid $22.8 million on Friday

The Muppets grossed a disappointing $4 million, but it's more of a Saturday/Sunday movie anyway, and may still reach $20M for the weekend.

By the way, that God movie took in $3 million in just 780 theaters, which is quite a bit better than anticipated. As I mentioned earlier, we (that includes me) often tend to underestimate the box office potential of that kind of flick. The non-traditional promotion must have been effective. Or maybe people just have to see Kull the Conqueror as a philosophy professor.
