30 Most Disappointing Travel Destinations on Earth

30 Most Disappointing Travel Destinations on Earth

From the reader comments:

"Whoever made this list missed a big one ... the Great Meteor Crater in northern AZ. This place is 6 miles off I-40. You are met with a tourist center that (when I was there many years ago) cost $19 a person to get into. It's probably more by now. You can wander around inside and look at about 5 or 6 displays that are actually about the crater. The rest is rock collections and X-Files stuff. How about the crater itself? Well, for another measley $10 (each), you can take a bus ride around the outside of the crater (You can walk the mile and a half trail for free). You cannot go down into the crater. You can look down on the NASA installation at the bottom, but that's all you can do. Very disappointing. Wasn't worth the 6 mile ride let alone $19 a person. Look at pictures of the crater online. You've just experienced the same thing you will at the site, unless you're one of those that are into 'being there'".
