Borowitz is like the ultimate click-baiter. He writes very entertaining headlines, which always seem to end up above totally obvious paragraphs. I have to admit I don't know why The New Yorker is willing to stake their reputation on that guy as a columnist. He seems to be far below their typical level of sophistication. Maybe his talent for controversial headlines brings them a lot of traffic. I dunno.
I know THIS is satire, but didn't President Obama once actually say something along the lines of the system our founders designed made making changes to the country more difficult than he would've liked? I seem to recall that from some place and time.
Trey Parker & Matt Stone have a point about it having gotten too hard to be satirical about politics. Current reality is parody enough as it is.
Quite frankly, the Constitution provides an inferior system of government to the parliamentary form of government. Maybe that is why nobody else has adopted it. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and ....
