US box office suffers worst weekend in 16 years

It's the worst weekend since September, 2001, post 9-11. And there was a pretty good reason why that period was low.

    I'm pretty sure the worst week at the box office before 2001 was in 1994 the week the movie Bad Girls with Drew Barrymore, Madeleine Stowe, Mary Stuart Masterson and Andie McDowell was #1.
