This time the Sox did follow their pre-ordained script. They staked Pedro to a 4-0 lead, knocked The Rocket out fo the box, and were on the verge of glory. Of course, they lost in in extra innings. How else could it end? It is written that they have to get so close to winning that they can taste it, then lose. So it goes.
