NBC Tones Down 'Friends' Praise in Ads NBC called Friends The Best Comedy Ever. Kelley Grammer protested because NBC failed to remind people of Frasier's genius. Grammer pointed out that although Friends was funny and much beloved, Frasier was ... um ... more ... pompous or something. Homer Simpson and Jerry Seinfeld were not available for comment.
