Mel Gibson's once-shunned Christ film will open on 4000 screens. The number was just increased from 2800. I've said it before. I'll say it again. Gibson missed his true calling. He's an adequate actor and director, but he must be the greatest promoter since P.T. Barnum. In fact, I doubt that Barnum could have gotten 4000 screens for a non-star film in two dead languages.
