National Review Online on Dubya's military service.
  • Dubya tried to volunteer for 'nam
  • The other pilots thought he was a brainiac. "George was like everybody else, except while George was over in a corner reading somebody's autobiography, the rest of us were watching Hee Haw."
  • Many now feel that if Dubya had gone to Vietnam, we would have won.
  • That was no ordinary autobiography. He was reading Proust's "Remembrance of Things Past" in French. Come to think of it, he WROTE that book. Proust was the beard.

Amazingly, I didn't make the first two up.
