Harry Potter Smashes Cinema Box Office Records: The Prisoner of Azkaban is the first film to take more than £5 million on a single day in the UK. That represents a monumental $17,000 per screen! (Shrek 2 had the all-time highest day in the USA about two weeks ago - and only averaged $10,800 per screen.)
