The president of Harvard University sparked an uproar at an academic conference when he said that innate differences between men and women might be one reason fewer women succeed in science and math careers. Actually, I'm not sure that the point is accurate to begin with. The concept of "success" is based on the relationship between effort and accomplishment. Do fewer women succeed, or is it simply that fewer women try?
