- "For those who just want the short version, Anne has scenes where she appears topless, Bijou Phillips has scenes where she appears topless, Freddy Rodriguez has one scene where he shows his naked butt. There is no nudity by Shari Appleby or Mike Vogel. There is NO lower frontal nudity by anyone in the movie."
- "Barbara Kopple confirmed that the movie has received an R rating. So everybody who had bashed Anne for all the extensive nudity must now eat plenty of crow."
- The lack of lower body nudity is contrary to previous reports that have floated around the internet from time to time. It is possible that the earlier reports were wrong, but it is also possible that the final edit was made to avoid an NC-17 rating. At this point, I don't know.

Here's the nudity scoop on Anne Hathaway's film, Havoc, as seen at the Filmfest Munchen, and reported at Anne-Hathaway.com. (You can read the review yourself in its full detail at that site, but I didn't link to it because the site requires registration.)

No one's going to have to eat crow. The full nudity may have been cut out of the R-rated version, but the scenes were filmed. I know because I'm looking at three stills from it right now. She's fully nude getting out of the shower (big furry bush).
ReplyDeleteThe shower stills aren't her.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous number two is correct.
ReplyDeleteA short clip was released some time ago claiming to be video footage of Anne Hathaway from Havoc.
In the video footage, it's clear the woman is not Hathaway.
It's more than likely that Anonymous #1's stills are from this erroneously-titled clip.
You can probably still find the fake clip and stills on thatsjustnotright.com
To add to Shampyon's comment:
ReplyDeleteAccording to all reports, Hathaway had a shaven haven for the shoot. The woman in the stills and clip doesn't.
Plus, it doesn't look like her at all.
Looks like #1 needs an eye check.
The video footage of the nude girl getting out of the shower is NOT Anne Hathaway. There is NO such scene in Havoc. How do I know that? Because I'm the one who saw the movie in Munich and posted the review on anne-hathaway.com. As for the claim that the full nudity was filmed but cut out, that's also a false rumor. There is only one website (which has often been proven unreliable) which has posted "reviews" of the alleged explicit nude scenes, and those reviews were posted in October 2004. There's a message at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0285175/board/flat/7511530 by someone who saw an advanced screening in March 2004. The writer of this message clearly states that Anne showed only "Full upper body nudity (topless)", which confirms what Anne had told Barbara Walters in a TV interview in April 2004 and confirms what I saw in Munich. So there was NO "original cut" containing the explicit nude scenes. It was all just a lie.
ReplyDeleteOne additional note on my previous message directly above. When the Director confirmed that the movie had received an R rating, I asked her if any scenes had to be cut to avoid a possible NC-17 rating. She said that the gang initiation scene involving Bijou Phillips and the 2 gang members had been longer, but she didn't mention any additional explicit nude scenes by Anne. Someone else who also saw the movie in Munich also talked to the Director, and she confirmed that NO lower frontal nudity was filmed.
