Turns out that Oprah incident was a little more complicated than originally reported.
  • The latest version is that the store was closed at the time. They close at 6:30, and Oprah insisted on entering at 6:45 because she could see people inside shopping (in a privately-sponsored event.)
  • My own note: even if the shop was 100% in the right, and they may well be, they have to be some seriously dumb fucks to turn away the single most powerful person in the world in the when it comes to what women buy. This is like running a golf shop and not recognizing Tiger Woods at the door.

  1. Aww, poor little miss Oprah was humiliated? Humiliated really? Get a grip. How self important can one person be? If the store is closed, the store is closed. That's it. And for Oprah to go badmouthing a store because they wouldn't let her in 15 minutes after it closed, I'm sorry, but she's revealing her true self. Not the lovable host she plays on TV. Of course, that's just my opinion, I've never met the woman. She did come to my bar once, but it was after last call so I couldn't let her in...
