Don Imus to Sue CBS Radio for Breach of Contract
His contract says he was expected to be irreverent, and that his style was "desired by company and ... consistent with company rules and policy"

I doubt that CBS wants to get dragged through a trial where its executives have to testify about the exact line between irreverent and offensive, so you can expect some kind of out-of-court settlement.

We had a similar situation at 7-Eleven in the 1980s, when senior management feared a suit fronm Flynt, because they not want to testify in court why Penthouse was not banned fromnt he stores and Hustler was. The situation never came up. Since the company was facing pressure from the religious right to remove all men's mags, senior management finally made that proclamation.

  1. Good for Don Imus! He should defend himself. The only thing is that we would rather have him back working for MSNBC...
Any chance they can bring him back and pretend this NEVER happened?
