Daily Box Office for Friday, June 29, 2007
The week's three films all performed about on par. Ratatouille won the race, but will probably finish the weekend at the very lower end of its range of expectations, lower than the last five films from Pixar.

Die Hard took in better than $3,000 per theater, more or less as expected.

SICKO also took in $3,000 per theater, but was only on 400+ screens, so did not make a real dent in the numbers. Fahrenheit 911, which opened on the identical weekend in 2004, took in $10,000 per theater on its first Friday, and extended it out over twice as many theaters - such a phenomenon that it actually won the weekend! SICKO will finish with less than a sixth of the amount grossed by Fahrenheit on its first weekend, but to pull in the same amount per scren as Die Hard is still an astounding achievement for a documentary on a summer weekend.
