Bourne did so well that the entire weekend was highly positive. The other films in the top ten were off about ten million from the forecasts, but Bourne made up all of that and more. As a result, the weekend was nearly 40% above last year, which in turn was nearly 20% above the previous year.The Simpsons took a hard fall, dropping 65% from its excellent opening weekend, and probably falling out of contention for $200m.
