Sharpe James and his mistress were found guilty of five charges of fraud and corruption. "He still faces a federal trial on charges he used city-issued credit cards to pay for $58,000 worth of personal expenses while he was mayor, including trips with several women other than his wife, to Martha's Vineyard, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Rio."They have a term for this kind of behavior in Newark politics: "goody two-shoes."
Give the pope a call in D.C., because if that's the worst Sharpe did in twenty years as mayor of Newark, the man should be canonized while still alive.
