Thre have only been eight games in major league history to go longer than that. The Padres' ace, Jake Peavy, went eight innings, allowed only four hits and no runs, and struck out eleven. That's a mighty tough no-decision for him, and eventually a tough loss for the team. The Rockies' Jeff Francis fought Peavy to a stand-still. He allowed only three hits and a walk in seven shutout innings.
