ROTTEN TOMATOES: Opening This Week

ROTTEN TOMATOES: Movies opening This Week

  • Burn after Reading. 2300 theaters. 73% positive reviews. The latest from the Coen Brothers. A comedy which received a lukewarm reception at Toronto.
  • Righteous Kill. 2800 theaters. No reviews. Crime thriller with big stars. No advance screenings for reviewer favorites Pacino and DeNiro? That can't be good.
  • The Family that Preys. 2000 theaters. No reviews. The latest from Tyler Perry. How many movies can this guy create in a year? He single-handedly churns 'em out like the writing team of a sitcom.
  • The Women. 2600 theaters. 0% positive reviews. Chick-flick starring the usual suspects: Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, etc. Remake of a George Cukor film. Somehow Diane Lane is NOT in this.
  • Proud American. 700 theaters. No reviews yet. "Just like the country it celebrates, this film is a melting pot of stories and genres. Combining drama with documentary, PROUD AMERICAN features impressive shots of the United States' most beautiful vistas, all shot from the air."
