- Eagle Eye. 3300 theaters, 38% positive reviews. Another Hitchcockian thriller from the same director/star team as Disturbia.
- Nights in Rodanthe. 2500 theaters, 40% positive reviews. Chick-flick. Another dust-fuckin' romance from Nicholas Sparks, the master of geriatric sex. (The Notebook.)
- Miracle at St. Anna. 1100 theaters, 19% positive reviews. Spike Lee's latest, an ambitious and epic-length (nearly three hours) film about a division of black soldiers assigned to Italy in WW2.
- Fireproof. 800 theaters, no reviews. Religious-themed drama about firefighters with very good advance ticket sales. (They promote these films in the church communities.)
- Choke. 400 theaters, 66% positive reviews. I'll go to see this one. Raunchy flick from a book by the author of Fight Club. Check out the redband trailer!
- The Lucky Ones. 400 theaters, 31% positive reviews. Three soldiers on a road trip across the States.
- Forever Strong. 300 theaters, 0% positive reviews. Sports movie. Rugby, to be specific.
