- RocknRolla: 800 theaters, 61% positive reviews. This represents Guy Richie's return to the cockney gangster genre that made him famous. Most people feel it is a good effort, if somewhat below the level of Snatch and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
- Zack and Miri Make a Porno: 2700 theaters, 64% positive reviews. A new comedy from Silent Bob, starring Seth Rogan. Rated R on appeal for strong crude sexual content including dialogue, graphic nudity and pervasive language. In other words - it includes all the things that make life worthwhile, possibly excluding pizza.
- Changeling: 1800 theaters, 51% positive reviews. Despite an A-List director (Dirty Harry his ownself) and an A-List star (Jolie), the drama appears to be forgettable.
- The Haunting of Molly Hartley: 2200 theaters, not pre-screened for critics. Yet another PG-13 horror film involving teens. In this case, the studio didn't even distribute screeners to friendly critics, so there are no reviews online at all. The plot is a remade-for-tweens version of a old Christopher Lee camp-fest called To The Devil - A Daughter.
