The Box Office was weak on the September 24-26 weekend

Weekend Box Office Results for September 24-26, 2010

Wall Street and Legend of the Guardians did take the #1 and #2 spots, but the results for all four new films were disappointing:
  • Wall Street 2. Projected: $28M; Actual: $19M.

  • Legend of the Guardians. Projected: $25M; Actual: $16M.

  • You Again. Projected: $12M; Actual: $8M.

  • The Virginity Hit. Projected: $1.4M; Actual: $.3.

If the estimates hold up when the numbers are finalized, The Virginity Hit will be the lowest-grossing wide release of the year (600 or more theaters), and the fourth-lowest of all time.
