Diary of a Wimpy Kid came storming back after losing Friday. It crushed Sucker Punch on Saturday and Sunday to win the weekend. In fact, Sucker Punch may have fallen to third on those two days, depending on the final numbers. Sucker Punch was expected to pull in about $25m over the weekend, but missed that by more than 20% and was fading fast, dropping from eight mil on Friday to four on Sunday.

There’s nothing to this movie. The fact that this effects heavy movie is doing terrible makes me raise a very skeptical eyebrow and say “Is there actually hope for mankind? Do they actually want to see something that has substance, or at least something more than the nothing that is Sucker Punch?” I can describe it any way other than that…there just isn’t anything to Sucker Punch.
