Weekend Box Office Results for April 8-10, 2011

Not only did Hop win a second consecutive weekend, but it did so by a very large margin. It took in more than this week's comedies, Arthur and Your Highness, added together.

Your Highness, which finished a dismal 6th, will do better as a rental. As Ebert pointed out, the R rating prevents its strongest demographic from getting into the theaters to see it.

The weekend's only positive surprise was a relatively insignificant one. Hanna finished in third place, grossing slightly more than $12 million. It was expected to finish much farther down the list with some $8m or $9m.

Meh.

  1. Russell Brand is brilliant. His sense of humor is awesome. I will never understand why people argue over the silliest things. If you don't like him good for you, and if you do, good for you too. Thank God for diversity and for being free to make choices. I chose to comment on someone I truly enjoy watching. More power to you Russell and I hope you keep raking in the money.
